 Imaginative Tea SetAug 21, 2010
This is a fun tea set for any little child. It is a bit smaller than we expected but is great for having a tea party with your favorite bear. My daughters have played with it everyday since they got it and love it.

When I purchased this tea set, I was looking for something that came with a case or basket so that it would be kept together easily. I didn't really realize that the tea set itself is ceramic. My daughter is two and I was concerned that she would be too rough with it and break it. But she LOVES this set! She brings it to me in the basket, helps me set the place settings and lines up her animals for the party. I just started putting a little water in the teapot so that she can practice pouring and sipping "tea" from her teacup and she is in Seventh Heaven. I think that because the tea set is ceramic, she can experience a new tactile sensation while playing with it. And it is just the right size for her little hands. She will even help me "wash the dishes" in her play kitchen when we put it away! I am EXTREMELY happy with this tea set and my daughter is, too!

I bought this tea set for my 9 year old daughter for Christmas. She enjoys giving tea parties for friends and family. We were having a difficult time finding a decent set for a 9 year old. The dimensions are very unclear. The set is cute, but the size is very small. The little cups might hold a tablespoon of water (maybe). I showed my daughter the gift that she had helped me pick out online (prior to Christmas because I was afraid that it would be disappointing), and she almost started to cry. I am still looking for a slightly more mature tea set.

Last Christmas my 3 year old daughter wanted only two things for Christmas one of them being a "blue tea party set." Blue girl's items can be hard to find, but I finally came upon this adorable set. She has been using this now for a year and it is still a favorite and part of the hundreds of tea parties held throughout the last year. I gave it a 4 for durability simply because it is a breakable toy since it is ceramic, but my child has not broken a piece yet. She is gentle with it because she loves it and knows it is breakable, but for a less careful child, it could break. Overall though this was one of the best buys I ever came across. It could even be used a display item once she outgrows playing with it and I hope it will be something she keeps her whole lifelong.

Despite other reviews about this tea set being tiny and breakable, I think it was absolutely perfect for my 7 year old. It is porcelain so younger children may struggle with it, but its delicate dishes are perfect for older girls. My daughter loves using it and it cleans up well.
