A winner with baby and big sisterOct 06, 2004

When I first brought this home, my almost 3-year-old daughter was attracted to it like a magnet. I think she recognized the tunes from her Baby Eienstein DVDs. She was so enthralled with it that she took it to bed with her that night!
When I was finally able to get it back and give it to the baby, who is 6 months old, she liked it a lot too. She likes the music but also looking at the water part and batting at the fish that dangle down. I've actually been using it in the high chair as a diversion while I get her bottle or food ready. I've also attached it to the side of her crib occassionally and she really likes it there.
I do agree that with other reviewers that it could attach to the infant carrier seats in a better way -- it sits too high up on the handle so that the baby is looking at it from the wrong angle. I ended up attaching it to a different toy bar that suspends in an arch over the right part of the seat and it works great that way.
I have not experienced any issues with leakage (mentioned in another review).

So much fun!Sep 21, 2004
By Elizebeth Neumann My daughter first saw this a couple months ago at babies r us while we were shopping. She immediately fell in love with it! The music is not loud or obnoxious in any way. She loves to watch the turtle and dolphin bob inside the toy and play with the toys dangling at the bottom.
I was hesitant to get this because I would soon be taking her out of the infant seat and she would be sitting upright. But now I just give it to her to play with on her lap while we are in the car and she still enjoys it.
The only reason I didnt give this 5 stars is because I wish there were a better way to make this toy "grow" with my baby. But she still has a blast with it.
A great toy for the price.

Safety tip: Don't attach toy bars to car seatsMar 17, 2006
By Ullrsgirl Those who complain this toy doesn't fit well onto a car seat - it shouldn't be there in the first place, at least not while your child is in a car. Also, it says in car seat manuals that the car seat handle has to be all the way in the down position. Think about it, and it makes sense.
So the problem is not with the toy bar, but with the incorrect way it is being used.

I am surprised by some people...Aug 29, 2005
By Anne George First of all, I am truly astonished at the number of reviewers who were making comments about the toy bar potentially injuring an infant if in a car accident...which I am in no way denying, however...the alarming fact remains that parents are actually leaving the infant carrier/car seat bar up at all while driving. I thought it was common knowledge that this, in of itself, is a very real danger to a baby if one was to get into a collision. This toy would be perfectly safe if not used while dangerously propping the handle up while the car is in motion. I suppose I was just being a bit pressumptuous to assume most people knew not to do this, but apparently this isn't the case. So, with that said, I do not believe that this toy is a danger on it's own merrits, as far as injuring a child while in the car. It is the bar/handle being propped up at all, and I think more people should take heed of this piece of advice.

Cool idea, but.....Aug 01, 2004
By Adriane Sparks I loved the concept of this toy, but when I got it home I relized that it hung right where I carry my baby. When I carry the baby in the infant carrier, I hook my arm under the bar and carry it in the crook of my arm, and this toy kept me from being able to get my arm there comfortably. Now if you just carry it around with your hand, this is a great toy. But for me it was just a pain
