Great game for 3 year old.Jul 23, 2010 My daughter received this for her 3rd birthday. Although the game uses shapes and colors, it really is meant to teach kids how to play a game, take turns, and how to win or lose. My daughter knows her shapes and colors but she still loves playing this game. They pull the candy cane and a piece shoots out and what kid won't love that. We played it about 8 times in one day. The games only last about 5-10 minutes. Great game.
Good, but for younger childrenJul 05, 2010 This is a great game for color and shape identification, and even better for teaching little ones how to take turns. However, it's definitely not a 36mo-6yo game. My 2 year old can play this like a Master, and I can't see it being much of a challenge after he turns 3.
FUN FUN FUN!!May 04, 2010 Nothing beats the original Candy Land, but this isn't trying to compete, as it's a different game all together. We love it at our house. It is something that my 4 and 2 year old can play together and not fight! LOL. This will be outgrown quickly, but most games that young toddlers are able to play are, so it it gets and A plus in my book!
Fun for preschoolers and mom and dadsMar 18, 2010 This was a great fun for my 3-4 yr old. He was learning shapes and colors with this fun creative version of candy land. My little guy liked pulling the handle and getting everyone's shapes out. He would call out the shape and the color and then hand them to you.
Make sure you keep this up when the game is over There are a lot of fun colorful shapes that my son wanted to carry around in his pocket. Wish there was a extra replacement kit for this game. We have been searching for pieces to play

Great fun for little ones!Feb 23, 2010 We got this game as a Christmas present for my 2.5 year old daughter. It was the first game that she had enough patience to play from beginning to end! Each player gets a cardboard gingerbread man and has to fill up the 4 spots on the board with matching shapes from the castle. The game is recommended for children 3 and up, but I think it is better for younger children (with an adult). Our 19 month old has already started playing, too. It's been great in helping to teach the kids taking turns and playing fair. They already knew their colors and shapes, but it would be helpful for those concepts, too. Aside from the likelihood of the pieces getting lost (we've lost a red square), I highly recommend this game.
