Perfect for 'Special' Tea PartiesAug 02, 2010 My three year-old daughter has a 'responsibilities' chart that we use to help motivate her to do her chores. At the end of each week she gets to choose a reward and her favorite reward by far is the "Fancy Tea Party" reward. I bought this set especially for this, it's porcelain so she's learning how to be gentle with things and it's only lightly used as we only pull it out for the reward times. She loves that it looks grown-up and I love that that everything is really small. The cups barely hold a 1/4 cup of liquid, the sugar holds maybe three tablespoons and the opening is tiny which is great for when she serves us (she is always the hostess) and can only get a small amount out at a time. The milk pitcher is so miniature it belongs on a curio shelf. The pot doesn't keep things warm for long and it too only holds a small amount so when we dress up (sometimes as animals) and sit down to have tea I keep a separate adult size teapot (and milk container) handy to refill the little one. This is the one time that the tea is always gone before the lady fingers!
Perfect for PrincessMay 09, 2010 I think this set is a good buy, especially if you are following the Montessori practice of allowing kids to use the same quality materials as used by adults to master simple, routine tasks.
My three-year-old loves this tea set. She's learned how to judge when the pot is too full and actually spills very little now that she's had it for a few weeks. The colors are lovely, looks like Fiesta ware.
quality goodsApr 19, 2010 I bought this set, because of its fun Fiesta look and colors.
Was surprised when it showed up to discover that the pieces were real porcelain and not plastic.
Sure, the pieces may break some day (but they're pretty solid).
But I tip my hat to true quality at an amazing price!
Great tea setApr 10, 2010 My daughter and son both love this tea set. The colors are bright. I personally was thinking the products were going to be bigger, but my kids love it so who am I to complain. I would recommend this product.
Perfect Tea SetMar 22, 2010 I was so pleased with this tea set. Our Grand-daughter loves it and because it is dishwasher safe she even puts the cups and saucers into the dish washer herself (which she also loves doing). I bought 2 sets so there would be spares if some pieces got broken but - so far - after overand a month - she hasn't had anything break, even though a cup and a sugar bowl did fall - it was on the carpet they just bounced. the cups are just the right size for a 3 year to serve real cocoa or chamber tea. It is so EZ for this Grandma to shop at Amazon
