 Fun but not durableOct 31, 2005

My 18-month-old daughter has loved Dora for quite some time. We bought her the set and she loved it - we encourage her to eat to find Dora and Boots under the food. However, even though we hand washed it 80% of the time, the plate suddenly became pitted and was ruined within 2-3 MONTHS after purchase. I was very disappointed with the quality. We still have the plate sets from when we were kids and they are still in excellent condition after being used for years with multiple kids. 2-3 months is atrocious for durability, no matter how cute it is.

My son just recieved this as one of his bday gifts for his 4th bday. Needless to say, he loves Dora and Boots! Although we have never had problems getting him to eat his meals, this makes meal time all that much more fun. :) The colors are very vibrant and cheerful. Now his brothers fight with him over who gets the Dora plate, bowl or cup. Think its time we get another set huh?!

We recently received this as a present for our 20 month old daughter. It's one of the only ways to get her to the table anymore. I gave it 4 stars ONLY because there is no fork with it. I recommend buying the slightly bigger set that includes the fork and tumbler, even if you child is not old enough for the tumbler yet.

My two year old daughter received this for her birthday, and so far it has ben a big hit at meal time. She loves getting her Dora plates out of the cabinet and setting her table. They are good sized for toddlers- they hold the correct portion size for a little one.The patterns are cute, and the colors are pretty, though after a few dish washing the color appear to be fading a little. They seem to be well made, but if your child is still a plate thrower, I don't think I would give this set yet, as they are a hard plastic, and I feel they would break after repeated abuses. But for the money, it's very cute, and is a good way to teach your child about table manners, etc.

This dish and cup set is just what my 3 year old twins wanted. It makes them want to eat everything on their dish even the vegetables!!
