Cheaply madeDec 04, 2008
By Antje Ordered this as a Christmas gift for our 4-year-old son. Good thing we opened the box long before Christmas to make sure it worked ok...
It came out of the box broken, the chain won't engage. The item was badly packaged, so this may just be shipping damage, but the chain setup seems cheaply made and prone to getting broken easily.
The plastic pieces that came with it looked very flimsy and very already bent some as well, fresh out of the box.
It came with assembly instructions in bad English, and no usage instructions (like what that shifter is supposed to do that we thought would engage the chain).
Doesn't matter, we're sending it back right away and ordering a real Kettler Kettcar instead.

DisappointedMar 25, 2009

Bought the Classic Flyer Kettcar for my son for his birthday. I thought it would be a huge hit. It completely wasn't. It doesn't let you pedal it fast, somehow it just doesn't let you get past a certain speed, so it's hard to pedal. There are kids of ALL ages in our neighborhood and we have pulled it out into the street several times with all of them out there hoping that someone will really like it and they all try it for about a minute before they decide that it's no fun at all and push it to the side of the road. We were very disappointed.
Good one for a 1 yr to 4 yrs kidsSep 12, 2010
By Sarath Look wise its unique and kid enjoys it. But, I doubt the durability in long run. However, its functioning well as of now. The Pedals look little delicate but manageable. The size is good but not suitable in a condo/ apartment.
could be built betterJun 28, 2010
By lynn I am purchasing this item to replace the same one I bought last year that the petals broke off of.. The kids love the pedal go cart, use it everyday. But it is welded together, so when it brakes it is broken.... Item is exactlly as promised, shipped quickly, thank you
