 BEST DRESS UP EVERMay 10, 2005

I bought this for a Halloween costume for my two year old. The real Halloween costumes cost between $10-$14 and were flimsy. This is durable, can be worn rain or shine and has been. It doesn't come with BOOTS but my son just wears his winter boots. He loves it. In addition my daughter, 4 years old, also enjoys playing with it. There is a walkie talkie that makes siren noises, a a squirt fire extinguisher (though I have never filled it with water) a blow up hose and of course, the fave- an axe. It is not dangerous. This set is DURABLE. The latches are a little difficult for the two year old but no problem for the four year old. It is well worth the money since it is not only worn at Halloween but year round. They have several different costumes from the same company- a chef, veterinarian, police officer and they all look wonderful.

"Happy Mommy"
My son (now age 3 yrs.) LOVES this fire fighter outfit, and wears it all the time. The badge came off the first time he wore it and we couldn't figure out how to replace it. The plastic blow-up fire hose broke early on also so we just use anything we can find for a "hose" (garden hose, scarf, piece of rope). I don't really prefer him to play with a plastic axe, especially around his one year old sister. Other than that, this outfit is a huge hit at our house. The walkie talkie is fun and not annoying. The durability/quality is very good, and the outfit is easy on/easy off (except I do up the buckles for him). I had to sew elastic on the hat to keep it from slipping off, but the hat is great on him now. He wears winter boots or rain boots to complete the ensemble, and when he puts it on we always get told "how cute!". Buy this for your favorite little fire fighter!

"The Firefighter's Mom"
I thought this product is just awesome for my 2 year old son who is currently obsessed with everything fire fighter! He has not left the house with out his helmet since we got it 3 weeks ago... sometimes in jacket too! (Imagine the reactions we get at the stores!) It is durable and has plenty of room to grow into. There are plenty of additional props to boost his creativity. I am very impressed with the quality. (You would think I work for Imaginarium the way I brag... but I don't! - I am just a penny pinching stay at home Mom who is happy to find some bang for her buck.)

We bought our 2 year old Grandson this fire fighter dress up set and gear along with a pedal firetruck. He loves the truck, but this outfit made it complete. He LOVES the firefighter coat, hat and all of the equipment. He won't leave the house without it. The only problem with durability is the fire extinguisher. It doesn't squirt water. But, that doesn't take away from his enjoyment of this toy. I'd definitely recommend it.

We gave this set to our son for Christmas, who just turned 4. He loves "all things firefighter" so we knew this would work well. The coat is decent quality and fits well with room for growth. The siren on the walkie-talkie has low volume. This allows him to enjoy it without the siren becoming too loud (or annoying). One the downside, the extinguisher's quality is poor, and has stopped working after a couple of weeks. Also, the badge keeps slipping off the front of the coat. This could probably be fixed with some double sided tape, or velco. All in all we are pleased and would recommend it for the little firefighter in your life!
