My 4 year old son started his Planet Heroes this past Christmas and is eagerly collecting them as we go. They are great toys. He plays with them all the time and makes up lots of adventures for them. Pluto Shiver is particularly fun. He is small, like the planet. His little space rocket is cool as well. I would recommend waiting out the backorder through fisher-price though. $60+ is a lot to ask for this. We had to wait over a month, but he was a third of that price.

My kids have a lot of fun playing with the planet heroes and they are also learning about the solar system along with having fun. I really like the products myself, they are very well made, very sturdy. My two boys are very rough on their toys and nothing has ever broken on them!

For Christmas, I give my three year old a fisher-price catolog to see what he liked. He kept showing me the Planet Heroes Action Figures. So, we bought him a few for Christmas. He opened his gift and screamed, "it's him, it's him." His birthday is two weeks after Christmas, and we had friends and family buy him some more figures. He loves to play with them, and watching the video a lot. We did end of with seven copies of the same dvd. Which we give to some friends who also feel in love with the heroes. It seems this toy and dvd is perfect for toddlers. We can't wait for new DVDs.

My son is really into the Planet Heroes guys! If you are buying these without any background (we had a DVD that we got free from Fisher-Price that started his obsession) I would try to buy one that comes with the DVD (several of the ones we bought my son for Christmas came with the same DVD we already had), just to give some background. It's a great way to help your child learn the planets and foster his or her imgination. My son plays alone with these figurines more than he does with any other toys.
