 Great Crib Toy!Sep 01, 2010
Just got the soother today. I had chosen it because a friend of mine had it and her son loved it. I think my son is going to love it just as much if not more. The music isn't annoying like some soothers can be and I love the nature sounds.
Only issue I have with it is how it straps onto the crib. It is REALLY annoying and can be difficult. The use the straps to hold the soother in it's packaging so PLEASE follow the directions and DO NOT cut the straps. If you do, you won't be able to put it on the crib.

I was not satisfied with this product, no fault of Amazon, but from the manufacturer. When i received it and opened it up, there was a residue on the clear plastic front of the rainforest soother. I tried to clean it off(couldn't really tell if it was on the outside of the plastic front or inside) but it would not come off. I shipped it back to Amazon and within days they had a replacement out to me. But, on the replacement, it had the same issue, so i mailed it back again and Amazon promptly refunded me. I ended up finding this toy at a local store(although at a higher price) that did not have the residue on it. So, while i'm unhappy with having to go through the trouble of returning it twice, Amazon did a good job getting me a replacement then a refund very quickly. The Rainforest soother is great-i bought it for one of my twins(the other has the fisher price aquarium) and he LOVES it!!

I ordered this product when my daughter started rolling over and we could no longer swaddle her. This meant her hands were free to pull out her pacifier, which she would not sleep without. I use the setting with nature sounds and lights, and found that it is perfect at grabbing her attention. Now she lays there watching the waterfall with her arms above her head until she falls asleep. It's also really good for when you want to check on the baby without waking them up with the overhead light. One of the best purchases I've ever made.

My parents purchased this for our son at Christmas. He was 4 months old at the time and we were transitioning him out of sleeping in his bassinet in our room and into his crib in his room. This was a great aid in doing that. I would turn it on when he went to bed and it seemed to calm him down. Fast forward to him turning a year and he is so in love with this. He has been turning it on and off himself for quite some time now and his face lights up when it is time for bed and he will actually sit there and watch this till he is tired and then lay down and go to sleep. I would highly recommend this.

I purchased this as a gift for my niece (and her son), who is due to give birth any day now. I've witnessed the Peek-A-Boo Soother's calming effects on a baby firsthand---my friends swore by this item when trying to get their infant son to sleep. It even has a calming influence on adults, so you may want to buy this for yourself if you suffer bouts of insomnia (I'm only half joking! It's THAT pleasant!). The soft music and lighting are never annoying and the rainforest animals are cute and keep your--I mean, the BABY'S--interest long enough for them to unwind and drift off. :) This is definitely a great investment and a wonderful gift!
