LifesaverNov 21, 2008 Love this trailer!! My kids are 3 years and 18 months old. They both fit well and love the ride. I like the rain fly and the netted vents in the back. We often use the storage space in the back for toys, groceries, etc and it's very roomy back there! I have used it as a stroller a couple times and it's a little big and awkward, but very smooth and great in a pinch. The construction seems pretty sturdy because we've had it for about 6 months and have probably put about 150-175 miles on it without tearing. My one word of caution would be to make sure you get a bike that has low enough gears to pull because with my 55 pounds of kids plus the trailer, I really needed the lower gears. But for the money, this cannot be beat!
decent, but needs improvmentsOct 20, 2008 I put my 1 year old son in here. The 'seat belts' that go over the shoulders are the MOST difficult to unbuckle that I have ever dealt with plus they dig into my sons neck. They are just plastic clips, not the ones you find on strollers or car seats. I've tried loosening them but then they don't work as intended. I also think the seat could be better constructed. I don't know if others out there are any different but the seat is just a tarp thing that has zero support. I suppose if you have a 3 year old in here it's fine but my son doesn't seem to be too comfortable. Also, there is virtually no sun shade. The sun just beams in and roasts the poor thing. You have to fasten a blanket or fabric over the top.
InStep Quick N EZ Bike Trailer Oct 13, 2008 Drives smoothly, plenty of room inside and easy to assemble, and very easy to convert.
A Great Investment For The PriceOct 10, 2008 I decided to buy this bike trailer after reading all the reviews and conducting an extensive search for the perfect bike trailer for my family. When the package arrived I was able to put it together myself with little effort. It hooked to my bike nicely with no problems. Other reviewers have complained that the cover did not snap on easily. And that they felt it needed to be "stretched". I didn't experience that at all. The cover snapped on easily since day one.
After reading other reviews I was concerned for my children's comfort considering this would be used for a 4 year old and a 2 year old. They both fit in nicely. My 4 year old is tall for her age, and she did not complain once of being uncomfortable. Both children seemed to fit nicely in there with no complaints. I did make sure to have the strap that goes under the seat tightened snuggly, and I believe this helped them not to slide into each other in the middle.
I took this on cement as well as on dirt paths and the ride was very smooth. I felt no drag from having the trailer attached as some other reviews mentioned. In fact at one point the kids were so quiet and the ride was so smooth that I forgot they were being pulled behind me.
The storage area in the back is really nice. I was able to put some snacks and jackets back there with room to spare.
The trailer folds down easily for storage. It does not fold completely flat because of the back wheels, but the whole trailer itself does fold flat. It is very easy to store.
I would definitely recommend this trailer to anyone who is going to be doing light to moderate riding with the kids. This is my first bike trailer, and I feel I made a good decision buying the InStep Quick N EZ Bike Trailer.
A great bargain!Oct 05, 2008 I was able to put this trailer together in less than 1 minute with no tools. The only required tool is the wrench to put the hitch on your bike. This is a great deal considering the price of a Burley Brand trailer. I do have to warn other customers this trailer is as a new KIA car is to a new Lexus (Burley). If you have kids that together weigh over 100 pounds I really recommend getting a bigger or higher quality trailer. The trailer works like a charm for what I intended it (taking my 18 pound dog on rides and buying groceries). The fabric is very cheap and I suspect it won't last that long even with proper care. Short of the fabric ripping the steal frame seems really solid. The trailer is easy to handle. If you are not mechanically inclined you can have someone else put the hitch on your bike, once its on its really easy to slide the trailer and safety pin in. The trailer is easy to fold flat and fits well in my subcompact's trunk.
