love itMay 24, 2008
By A. Anderson My two and a half year old loves this puzzle. It's just the right difficulty level for her. I wasn't sure if she'd go for it at first but she came around and has been putting them together the past couple days. I noticed some of the pieces fit together the wrong way though so sometimes she thinks she has it right anyway even though it's wrong. All the infantino puzzles are very durable too.

Awesome skill developing puzzle for 2.5 year oldSep 16, 2010
By taz Prior to getting this puzzle, our daughter had mastered a few other easier ones (pegged pieces, individual cutout shapes). This puzzle offers an awesome transition to regular jigsaw puzzles. She already knows her colors and most of the shapes, so that knowledge helps her assemble these puzzle pieces.
As parents you have lots of choices to use this toy for learning. You can give your child the pieces already sorted by color as a first step. Use individual pieces to identify color. Make the puzzles and then talk about the shape and the pictures on each puzzle. Let your child have all the pieces and sort through on his/her own.
Definitely I would recommend this for all, but after they have done some easier puzzles first. Also children need fine motor skills to adjust pieces so they fit into each other. You can teach them to fit pieces because they cannot push two pieces together and make them connect.

My almost 3 year old loves it!Jan 21, 2010
By jreule I was skeptical with how great this product can be. I am very happy with my purchase. My son, who turns 3 in 2 months LOVES this product. He is able to put all the pizzles together and was entertained by it. He actually sat for about 45 minutes putting them together, placing them all in the bucket and then putting them together again. He also was practicing his shapes and colors, which was an added bonus. He was happy to have a puzzle he could do on his own, as his older sister loves puzzles as well, but they are too hard for him (she is 6). This is perfect for the 2-3 age group, I would guess, but ym 6 year old liked it as well.

Great for 2 yr oldsSep 18, 2008
By Toddler Girl's Mum I bought this puzzle after trying out Infantino's Where's my Tail puzzle (which incidentally is a huge hit) for my 2 yr old daughter. Initially she seemed a bit confused with so many colors & pieces, but soon she got the hang of it. She loves it so much she HAS to have puzzle time morning and evening - I believe this puzzle has strengthened her concept of colors as well as her motor skills. I would highly recommend this for any 2 year old.

Would like it better if the pieces fit a little tighterApr 23, 2008

My biggest complaint is that the pieces don't fit together snuggly. This might not be much of a problem if you are playing with them on a hard surface such as a tile or hardwood floor or a table, but when we play on our carpeted living room floor, the pieces don't fit together well.
My 1-year-old doesn't quite grasp the concept of putting the pieces together, but does notice like colors and picks up the yellow pieces one in each hand.
I like the product; I think developmentally it will help; but I think a better job could have been done to click the pieces together more firmly.
