Great toy!Aug 09, 2007

I was looking for a mirror for my 3 month old and I came across this one. She loves it to this day!! When you press the frog in the middle it sings "I look in the mirror and what do I see? I see sweet, little wonderful me!" and if you press it again you hear "big bright eyes, cute button nose, tiny little fingers and tiny little toes" and if you press it once again it sings "round little cheeks and cute little ears, a cooing voice that mommy hears!" And then you have "Red Crab", "Orange Lion", "Purple Elephant", "Blue Hippo", "Yellow Starfish", etc. We LOVE this toy as you can probably tell ;)

Great but too loud!Oct 20, 2007
By J. Helton This is a really neat mirror with cute songs and sounds. It is easy for even my 4 month old to get the little tails to make the animal sounds. Haven't tried to hook up an MP3 player yet. The problem I have is that it is way too loud for my baby's ears, especially since he is so close to it because he is looking in the mirror and trying to chew on the tails. I have not been able to find the speaker so I could try to tape over it to make it quieter because it is closed up too well. I will keep trying but I really think they should put a volume switch on it and then it would get 5 stars from me.

Not worth the price tagOct 16, 2007

I bought this for my daughter when she was about 3 months old and thought it would be good for tummy time. I picked this specific mirror over other (cheaper) ones because it said on the box that it can stand on its own, but it constantly toppled over. The talking was also a bit too startling for my baby (it is very loud and there is no volume control). I ended up returning it.

Not all I had hoped forFeb 27, 2008
By KDL I bought this product looking for a floor mirror for my 3 mo. old daughter to play tummy time. Unfortunately the mirror is a little high off the floor so she can't actually see herself in it when she's on her tummy holding her head up. Also there is no volume control and the voices are a little loud and startling for her. I gave this 2 stars because it's colorful, and at least my 2 1/2 yr. old son likes to play with it. I think I will just go get a floor length mirror and prop it up horizontally against my entertainment unit like I did when my son was a baby. He loved that and it worked way better than this toy!

Great "tummy time" toy for young babies!May 13, 2008

I was having the hardest time getting my baby to enjoy his "tummy time" until I discovered this toy!
At 10 weeks old, my son enjoyed just laying on his tummy and looking at the brightly-colored tags while i pushed them for him. By 12 weeks old he started noticing the handsome baby in the mirror, too! And now, at 15 weeks old he is starting to push on the tags himself and is surprised when they make noises at him. Without this toy, my baby simply will not tolerate tummy time!
I do have a couple complaints, though:
1. There is no volume control on it; the sounds are very loud and hurt even my ears when we're laying close to it.
2. The tags are sometimes difficult to activate for ME, which means my infant son has a tough time doing it himself.
3. The velcro on the back needs to be longer so that it can be angled downward more so that my son can see more of himself in the mirror.
Other than that, it's a perfect toy, and despite it's shortcomings, it is still the best way I have found to make my son happy on his tummy! I even bought two more to give to friends who are having babies soon.
Grade: A-
