Better than old Leapster CaseNov 21, 2005

If you were like me and debating between the old Leapster Case and the new Leapster Backpack I would say buy the Backpack if you have the LMAX.
The backpack offers more room for the accessories that come with the LMAX such as the AC adapter cord as well as the TV cables. It holds up to 10 game cartridges in the small front pocket. I would agree it could use more padding, but overall I am satisfied with it.
I also like the fact that it's made small which fits my 3 y/o well unlike larger backpacks.

Better than the carrying caseMar 13, 2006

This is the same as the Blue/Silver Backpack & my son has the Leapster & L-Max and he loves this product because it holds the wire for the L-Max & all of his softwares. The softwares can be put in the front of the backpack where the zipper is and inside the bigger compartment where the Leapster or L-Max can go. My son has the carrying case but not much for storage in it. My son is giving his little sister the Leapster so I'll be buying the Pink/Lavendar backpack really soon.

good, but could be betterFeb 21, 2006
By clair Overall, I liked the leapster backpack. It does fit a lot of stuff inside. It's not too big or bulky. I only wish the compartments inside had zippers. Especially for the cords, they stick up everywhere unless you have them in perfectly. I gave it four stars because my daughter loves it.

Leapster Kids Carry-It-All Backpack: Pink & LavenderFeb 04, 2006

Very nice sturdy backpack for the leapster L-max. But it is a little small, if it was a bit larger we could have fit all her leapster things in it. But very cute non the less and it does serve the generel purpose of keeping most of the stuff in one place.

Not for small children.Oct 11, 2007
By sissylala This is a decent bag. Like other reviewers noted, it is made of a thin ripstop material. I have had no problems though with this one or my son's gray/blue one (which we have had for 2++ years). The main compartment has 2 pockets, one on top for cords, and one on the bottom for the handheld itself. The small exterior pocket is for holding the cartridges (and can hold many). However, to keep my 20 months and 4 1/2 yr olds entertained while we wait for appointments or while out eating dinner, it can hold all of these items as well as small coloring pages (travel Aqua Doodle, or Aqua Doodle sheets and water pens), crayons, small puzzles, deck of cards and other things. I would confirm this as a good purchase, though another backpack might be suitable...the added smaller interior pockets makes organizing easier for my children to find the exact itme they want. The only drawback I find is that (obviously, my daughter being only 20 months) it is not geared for a smaller child. The small pink triangle at the top of the straps does not allow it to fit as well as it probably could. Whereas the blue/gray one with the single adjustable strap is a better design and stays on no matter how it fits on your child.
