King of the Road!Nov 24, 2001
By J. Scharp We got this toy for my son when he was 1 years old at a garage sale, in great condition. He was king of the road from the get go, driving it in the house and outside. He is 3.5 and still I have to say this toy is played with almost EVERY day, (if I leave it in the house) which I consider pretty amazing! He never seems to tire of the crazy thing! I am also amazed at how creative he is with this toy. When he was little he would just ride in it. But now that he is 3.5, he has not grown out of its size or its play factor. I think he'll drive this car til he virtually cannot fit in it!He has done everything from pretend grocery shopping with it, placing can goods in the little space/trunk, making it into a pick-up/dumper truck with a basket tied on with a bungie cord, to turning it into a mobile tent with his blankie. It has also carried every toy, animal and goodie from here to eternity! I have to say it is the best toy purchase I have made for my son that has lasted day after imaginative day. It could be the fact that my son is enamored with driving, but I think this toy is a hit with almost all kids that own them (boy OR girl). They are worth the money, and will withstand a few kids easily. The only real wear it shows is the headlight stickers are beginning to peel off. I plan on passing it down to my baby daughter as she grows into it...IF HE WILL LET HER that is! :)

A Classic Must HaveDec 26, 2001
I bought this for my 22 month old son for Christmas. He absolutely loves it!!! He has played with one at the sitters and Grandma's so he was already a pro. He is able to get in and out easily. The wheels on his new one are a little stiff. Once they loosen up no place will be safe. With the size you'll probably want an open area to play with it. It also works better on a smooth surface than carpet. Our basement is the perfect place. Warning the top is a pain to assemble...at least ours was. I finally had to skip the directions and find my own way to get the pieces to pop in place. I would recommend this gift to any child..boy or girl. If you are considering one though check into all the different kinds Little Tikes make. After my son's was assemble I found out they make one for (a few $$) more that has sound effect buttons on the steering wheel. Other varieties include a truck, police car, and possibly more.

A classic wonderful toy!Jul 09, 1999
I wish I had given in and bought this when our first of 3 sons was a toddler - I did for #2, and now it's on son #3. Little Tikes toys are VERY durable; this one is no exception. Kids really get a big charge out of "their own car" and it lends itself very well to lots of creative play. It's had LOTS of hard play - e.g. on its back as a rocket ship - and still looks brand new at age 6.

Hey, Dad, can I borrow the car?May 18, 2000
We bought the Cozy Coupe II for our daughter for her first birthday and she loves it! She can't go forward yet but she drives it all around the house by pushing it backward with her feet. The door is too hard for her to open but that's okay because she loves climbing in and out through the windows ala Dukes of Hazzard. She also loves to load up the trunk with her toys and books. I liked the ease of assembly and the custom license plate letters! You can't beat Little Tikes for durability so all around this toy is worth the price!

It lasted foreverApr 17, 2002
I am sad to say it is finally time to give up the cozy coupe. I bought it at a garage sale from a family with 3 children when my son was 18 mths old. He's ten now and his two little sisters have used as their main source of transportation for the years since he was too big to get his knees under the steering wheel. His youngest sister is six now and can ride a bike on "two wheels" and can no longer fit in it comfortably. This has BY FAR been the favorite toy of all the toys my 3 kids have ever had in ten years. I am passing mine on to my sister for her 2 year old and it's still in great shape. (It does have some lovely permenant marker decor though.) I'm sure it will probably last forever.
