5I was never a big star wars untill...Dec 10, 2007
By David Bontorin
Me and my best friend decided to buy these, i really don't remember why i had the idea, but we had the money, and it was a cool idea. anyways, we've both seen all the star wars movies, but, really, we weren't big fans. actually, the closest thing we have to star wars in our everyday lives would be the Jedi Guy, who dresses up like Quigon Jin and rides around on his bike downtown every summer. point is, not star wars fans.
so, we bought them, the Luke model, and the Darth vader,[Star Wars Darth Vader Force FX Red Lightsaber] and had the best midnight sword fight ever. we were thinking of returning them too, untill we pulled them out and tried them. there freakin' amazing, for any kid or adult! I mean, these things have got two 17 year olds fighting with toy light sabers at dusk everyday.
they seem to be fairly durable. they have some scratches from being hit together, sometimes a little harder than what was intended, but they haven't broken thus far. and the scratches are only noticeable at a really close range when there on.
Final verdict, everyone should get these. not a must for any star wars fan, but anyone who likes a good sword fight and making a robot voice and pretending they have a long lost son named luke.

5Amazing! And I'm not a Star Wars fan.Jan 16, 2008

Ok, bought this toy for my hubby for Christmas, sort of as a joke gift. Let's just say, it turned out to be more than just a joke. It's so fun to play with, it makes all the noises from the movie and it turns on and off like it's a real light saber. Cool. Very cool.

5Great Toy For the ImaginationFeb 16, 2008
By Jacqueline Amorelli
I bought this lightsaber for my 13 yr. old son and he loves it. At first we would tell him to be careful that it might break because it looked fragile but it certainly is not. He plays with it on a daily basis. And the best part is that he uses his imagination to make up games instead of sitting in front of a video game.

5It accomplishes what it was made forMay 22, 2008

Obviously you're not going to be able to buy an actual lightsaber anytime soon, so mimicry is the next best thing; this is where this item succeeds. Compared to any other lightsaber replica on the market, this one is the king. It isn't perfect, but it's no cheap Chinese knockoff. Everything from the actual hilt to the sturdy blade is the nicest quality you're going to find. The thing I have the biggest issue with is the sound effects and motion sensor. Obviously Master Replicas couldn't use top-of-the-line gyroscopics and sound systems in this thing, otherwise the price would be many times what it is, so for the price, it is not bad. In fact, the sound is really, really loud. So loud that I actually put a foam disc in between the speaker and cap to muffle it a bit, which works great and tones it down to a volume that is more house-friendly. If you're at a party, the regular volume is perfect. The motion effects are a bit laggy, and sometimes non-existent. It seems that it really only effectively works when you swing it a certain direction; that is the case with mine, anyhow.

The light is nice and bright; These do look better in online videos than they do in person, but again, for the price, this is as good as it's gonna get. I give it a 5/5 since it is top notch in it's market and is both suitable for display as well as light dueling, should you choose to do so. Get one before they are even harder to find, this price is better than what you'll find on Ebay, used!! :)

5The Force is strong with this one...Feb 19, 2008

What can I say? Amazing. I've always loved this design ever since I saw it on the big screen back in 1977 when Obi-Wan handed Luke his father's lightsaber. I wanted one. It's been 30+ years now, but I finally have it!!! It was worth the wait...every year of it. Fun, cool looking, durable. If you can find one, get it. Master Replicas lost their license to produce Star Wars products, so you may have to do a little detective work, but it's worth it. Should look cool as a prop in one of mine and my buddies' short films...
