I bought this for my girlfriend for valentine's day. She loved it! It's as tall as she is! It's a big surprise and totally better than some dumb valentine's bear.

I got this for my niece for a Christmas present. She absolutely loved it. It is her "favorite" toy. It is sturdy (stands upright) in the corner of her room.

This is such a cute giraffe as all Melissa and Doug toys. I bought it mainly to decorate the kids room, and they ended up loving it. It is sturdy, and gives the atmosphere a really cool look. Both my 5 year old and my 20 month old daughters love it...and that's not to mention me.

The giraffe is a huge favorite of my 14 month old friend. He gives the giraffe a big smile every morning when he wakes up.
In terms of construction, the giraffe is a few steps up from the norm for stuffed animals of this size. He seems well stitched together, and his seams match up nicely. He has some kind of internal pieces to lend the proper shape to areas such as the head. The internal pieces feel like they are made of styrofoam. This doesn't detract from the giraffe, though.
Altogether, the giant giraffe is a good value for the money, and cute as anything.
It's probably made in China, but if it wasn't, it would probably cost at least another $50.
