My just turned two-year old has owned this tool set for a number of months now, and he absolutely adores it. He carries it everywhere, and enjoys using the screwdriver, hammer and wrench just like his parents! The wood has stood up to heavy use, and the tool box is a really neat addition, as it allows him to bring it with him and play with it everywhere, but also is part of the toy with slots for screws and nails. The bright and cheerful tool set is painted in happily gender neutral colors, so I think this would be just as much fun for a little girl as it is for a little boy.

May daughter, 18 months, loves the tool box. She is slowly figuring out how to use the little screws and loves the hammer. Very well made and fun to play with!

I got this for my two year old son and he absolutely loves it. He was able to figure out how to twist the bolts onto the nut. Durable because it is real wood. The only thing you have to worry about is when they start to bang the hammer on other things such as your dinner table because my two year old wants to fix everything, it does leave marks on the wood. I purchased another one for my nephew and he loved it as well and he just turned one. Great for all ages.

thought she would love this as she loves to help Daddy do anything with tools and she loves the cobblers bench she has already. But she has trouble working the screws and the tools. I think she is just not ready for it yet. Anticipate she will grow into it. BTW she loves the hammer she bangs on the tool box and the other tools so far they have stood up to this abuse well.

My son (almost 2) LOVES this toy. He enjoys playing with it and has learned things from it (some things are okay to hammer and some things aren't). The main thing I don't care for about it is that the wood is REALLY too soft for the nature of the toy (it's made to bang with a hammer....). Within a day or so it was obviously broken in.
It is probably more educational than we've been able to use it for so far. It has good potential for sorting colors, sizes, counting holes, etc. But for now it's just a whacking fun toy.
