It's a great toy for this price!Aug 09, 2010 Before I ordered this toy, I checked with reviews on amazon.com. I decided to try it because it's really cheap (<$7 including shipping). After I tested the toy, I'd say it's pretty accurate. occasionally it makes mistake but it's not big problem (you won't use it to count $100 bill, right? ). I'll order one more.
Overall, both my kids and me like it.
Nice GiftJul 28, 2010 Nice gifts for children and adults.
If your children are learning to count and save, this is great.
My wife has given several both inside and outside the family.
WORTHLESS!Jul 16, 2010 Even as I sit here, I'm putting money into this bank. This is the third time in a row it has read a quarter as a nickel. It reads my pennies as nickels at times, too. In fact, right now I'm just plain exasperated and am going to put my change somewhere else, and most likely I'm going to throw the whole unit away. I was dumb enough to buy two of these and am getting the same stellar performance (ha, ha) out of the other one as well.
I'm thinking of another strategy -- a good, solid tin can. If I'm in an artistic mood, I can put some contact paper around it. Then when my pocket change reaches a certain height, I will get some coin wrappers, bundle the money up, take it to the bank and I'll be set.
The idea is good -- a bank that counts coins -- but get one that actually works!
Good product... no real problems.Jul 10, 2010 My husband and I use this bank to hold our coins. Yes there are some complaints about the machine not reading right, but we've used the bank for a few months now (with a little over $34 in change) and it is accurate within 50 cents. I did notice (when redoing the count the other day for fun) that it did mess up (approximately 3 times with all $34) when I didn't push the coins in straight down. If the coin wiggled too much (by my own doing) it sometimes read incorrectly. Aside from this one little issue that can be avoid and dealt with, I enjoy this product.
Money CounterApr 15, 2010 I bought this product a couple of weeks ago to keep track of all my spare change and I love it. I counts my change and it doesn't make mistakes.
