2Overall, A Piece of CrapMar 08, 2010
This seemed like a fun way to save up change to deposit in my daughter's savings account. At first it worked nearly perfectly, except occasionally a dime wouldn't register. Then all of a sudden it went haywire and re-set itself to zero when the jar was not even half full and there was not even fifty bucks' worth of change in it. I changed the batteries and started to re-insert the coinage. This time we got all the way up to eight bucks and the LCD display went on the fritz. It reset itself after a few days. So we started all over again. Today it flaked out at $65 and reset itself to zero. To hell with it. I'm tossing this piece of crap and going with a quart mason jar.

3A lot smaller in person!Feb 21, 2010
I dont have any issue with this item it counts the money perfectly. I just wish it was bigger after putting all my change in it i could only fit 30 dollars worth of change in it.

5Money & MathFeb 14, 2010
I highly recommend this for folks who want to make learning math fun and prosperous. I have many many grandchildren and playing money games while learning the value of a coin and addition at the same time is priceless! And they can see how saving, adds up.

3Average Coin CounterFeb 06, 2010
Children must be patient and add coins very slowly. Was not 100% accurate for us.

1dissatisfied customerNov 30, 2009
i bought four of the coin counters (1 for each coin; pennies dimes nickles and quarters) and out of the four counters only 1 was good. the other 3 broke almost immediately. one has a display problem after .25 cents you cant read what it says. another doesnt recognize the coin i am entering, i put in a dime it reads a penny, i put in a quarter it reads a nickle, i put in a nickle it reads a dime. and the other doesnt read anything at all. i would have to say i am very dissatisfied with this product and would not buy another one.
