 Cheap fun for my boyJan 11, 2010
I think I bought this for like $5 with shipping. My boy loves Cars and so loves Mater and so loves this car. It's definitely better built then most Matchbox/Hot Wheels cars.

My son is big into Cars and this is one of his all-time favorites. The color, the shape, and the feel of the toy are just right. For amazing looking Cars let me also recommend the Boot Camp military-themed 6-pack gift set along with the fire-themed 6-pack gift set! 5 Stars!

If you've seen the movie CARS, you know what Mater is like. This toy looks just like him, and brings back the memory perfectly. You almost hope he never finds his dog-gone hood!

My son is a huge Cars fan so I ordered this as a surprise gift. Mater has held up pretty well after much abuse from a preschooler. The only downside is that Mater's hook to tow cars is a little delicate and may not be able to withstand much more abuse. However, I doubt that would be an issue if this car was a gift/toy for an older child.
