We came across Sticky Mosaics in a children's store on a recent trip. My daughter's nine, an age that's hard to find the right combination of fun, artistic, and worthwhile activities. But she loved this right away, and set to work on them as soon as we got back to her grandfather's house. She could even do them in the car on the drive home because you don't need glue, and the fact that the foam is sticky means it's harder to drop them in the car. The cardboard is high quality, the colors and design are striking. And, they even give you picture-hangers for each one. You can bet we'll be keeping our eyes open for another set like this.

We received Sticky Mosaics Kids Art as a gift and have enjoyed every moment of it. My daughter (age 5) did 3 in one sitting the first time we opened it. She was supposed to be amusing herself but it looked so fun I gave it a try and kept dropping in to "help" her!
We plan to give a couple as family Christmas gifts, and the rest she'll hang on her own wall. I'll likely buy something similar for her again, or as a gift for someone else.

"mother who cares"
This was a fantastic thing for both my 6 year old and my 3 year old. As long as the child can identify numbers, they can do this. You can travel with this, which also makes it so fantastic. You stick little square tiles on to a board that has numbers on it. It is just like Paint By Numbers, but with stickers. My kids love it and it keeps them busy for an extended period of time.

The mosaics in this toy are fun to do but very time consuming - the pieces are very tiny, and there are a LOT of them for each image.
It would be helpful if the bags of color squares were marked with the corresponding color, you have to keep referring to the box for the color number code.
I would not recommend it if your child can't stay focused on an activity for more than 30 minutes..... my child loves art projects and is very patient, but still gets tired of assembling these after a while. i would say ages 8 or 9 would be a more appropriate beginning on the age range.
