Great classic!Nov 05, 2006
By L.C. I give this 4 stars, because I like it (maybe more than my toddler). When I was in kindergarten or 1st grade, my little brother, who was 1 or 2 at the time, had the original -- the one that just popped, and he loved it. He would push it around until the popping drove my father "crazy." This one does even more. It pops, counts from 1 to 10, plays music, and has flashing lights. I think it's an awesome toy, especially for the price. My daughter doesn't play with it every day, but when she grabs it, she'll push it around for maybe 10 minutes or more (we haven't found a single toy that will occupy her attention for longer than that). Sometimes, she'll push it around several times a day. It's great for that stage when your toddler likes to push or drag things around with them. The popping was inconsistent when we first received it, but we took it apart, got the gears aligned correctly (through trial & error), added more Vaseline to the gears for lubrication, and now it pops, counts, plays music, and the lights flash consistently every time. If you take this toy apart, be careful not to pull out the speaker wires -- we did that, but it was no problem. My husband soldered the wires back together.

Amazingly simple yet funMar 11, 2007
By Nikki We bought this for my son when he was a year old. He's now 21 months and still loves it. It's such a simple toy, just push it around and it pops and counts, yet he gets a lot of entertainment out of it. He doesn't play with it often, but when he does pull it out, he plays with it for a long time.

Cheap and defectiveFeb 15, 2010
By Mary F. Williamson I hate to be ugly but I have to tell the truth. This toy was defective. DId not make the noise it was suppose to. My grandson was 13 mos. old. Maybe he was also too old for the toy. He was walking, but this did not make the sound it should have when he pushed it. The popcorn idea was not at all worth the postage must less the cost. Sorry.

Great toy but sound is uselessApr 16, 2009

We have two corn poppers, one is the classic one that only pops the balls and this one. I find the electronic feature on this one that counts to ten and light up completely useless. When the balls pop, it makes so much noise you can hardly hear the music and counting and the electronics and the batteries add extra weight to it. My toddler goes for the one without the fancy stuff and makes me push this one. Save the extra money and buy just the simple version of the corn popper. But a corn popper is a must. All kids seem to love it, mine is no exception.

I brought this as a gift for my nephew and he loves it. When we went home my nephew, my boys 2 and 3 played with it. it is a very durable and great toys our boys are ages 1,2, and 3 so these ages are great. We had the old popper toy the addition of the electronics is great. This is a great toy I give it a 10 in toughness and enjoyment
