His right hip is a mass of bypases and temporary solutions, his power core and timing system are irregular and his idle is set way too high; but his optics are the sharpest on Cybertron, and his cannon arm is as steady as ever. Optimus prime relies on him for tactical advice and cool head. As long as they keep making missiles compatible with his cannons, he'll keep fighting, until every last Decepticon is a smoldering wreck. Measures 7". | | | Features: | |

Nice looking toy - probably not for kids...Jul 10, 2007
By Storm Mansell After being a fan of Transformers when I was younger, I had to go out and get at least one of the new toys for the movie. (Although I'm 28 years old). Let me just say that first of all I am very impressed. Although transforming this thing from truck to robot and back almost took the better part of an hour for the first time, the look and feel of the finished transformed product is amazing. Although some of the other Transformers seem a little top heavy in robot mode, Ironhide has large feet making him pretty easy to stand up. He also looks awesome in robot mode, with a ton of detail... and the black color makes it very attractive, especially to the older crowd. While in truck mode (and it seems very difficult to get these things back into vehicle mode) the toy actually seems very "playable" with all of the many moving parts snapping back into place nicely to form a solid truck. It it actually looks like a normal toy truck... the engineering that went into this is genius. However, like I said, I don't think this thing was made for kids. With so many little moving parts, twisting and turning and snapping and folding and clicking, something is bound to break if this guy is overhandled. And I also remember the days that you could pick up a Transformer and figure out how to transform it on your own... GOOD LUCK. Even with the instructions right in my face it took a good deal of time to get him from truck to robot and back. After carefully reviewing all of the toys in the store, what they looked like in both forms, I would say Ironhide would have to be my favorite, and I am not dissapointed in the least. He looks awesome.

Best of the movie lineSep 11, 2007

This one is my favorite of the movie line of Transformers! He is the most impressive looking in robot mode and fairly solid and sturdy in truck mode. He is not, however, for young kids, whatever the box says, and I don't believe that he would stand up well to play. He is great, however, on my desk at work.

Ironhide is back better than ever. This version is sleek rockin, decepticon kickin, badass gem of a transformer all fans should treasure. The detail on Ironhide is outstanding in both robot and Topkick mode. You can especially get a great appreciation of this in robot mode from the very articulated head piece, torso, and legs.Ironhide comes with a Quad-Missile Cannon on each arm that fires 4 projectiles on one of the cannons. The cannons can also combine for battle if Ironhide needs the extreme artillery. The poseability of Ironhide is awesome as he has a solid base while being able to assume many different poses to create battle scenes or being able to display somewhere with ease. The durability is excellent as well with Ironhide being able to take as much as he can dish out.Ironhide is a very solid figure overall. The transformation level is advanced meaning if you have plenty of experience with transformers there is challenging difficulty. If you are a parent buying for a child of 5-6 or younger you will have to provide assitance in the process.Ironhide is one of the best voyager versions out there, but at the same time he is one of the most challenging.Ironhide has alot of parts that twist including his waist during transformation along with some of the smaller parts as well.If you have the patience to practice some with this figure it can be one of the most rewarding experiences in a transformer you will find.Bottom line Voyager Ironhide is a well-made,high quality,10 out of 10 transformer that all fans and collectors will enjoy.I highly recommend Ironhide to all transformer fans and collectors out there.Ironhide has always been a favorite and this in my opinion is a vast improvement compared to the G1 version.Ironhide Rocks and Transformers Rule!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ironhide from a 35 year-old dorkNov 11, 2007
By Eric D. Powell I was huge fan of the original as a child, and now as an adult, I couldn't resist getting a few of the new movie transformers. I have both Ironhide and Starscream in the voyager mode and Optimus and Megatron in the leader class. I must say the directions are not a tremendous help, but after a few times transforming Ironhide, he becomes much easier. As a toy for a 5-12 year old, I would say no. Childern would be too rough I believe on these transformers as a opposed to the orginals. But as collectiables, they are awesome. Be patient and you will enjoy these new transformers.

Movie Ironhide it is awesome, the details and mechanism are incredible. But the builders must consider to make a kind of metal version with more details and articulations. I am very satisfated with this toy but the purpuse I bought was for collect not for play with.
